Measuring household food security through surveys: Do the characteristics of the enumerators matter?

Abstract: Evidence-based interventions are good practice in development assistance. This is particularly true in situations of extreme health and consumption deprivation in fragile contexts where interventions need to be rapid and well targeted. In this case, food security indicators are one important tool to guide policies and programming. These indicators are employed to identify areas where assisted food distribution is more urgent.
