Measuring Tumor Aggressiveness and Targeting Metastatic Lesions with Fluorescent pHLIP

Abstract: Purpose Malignant cancer foci develop acidic extracellular environments. Mild acidic conditions trigger insertion and folding of the pH (low) insertion peptide (pHLIP™) across a cellular membrane, enabling targeting of such lesions.
