Mechanical Behavior of Single-Lap Adhesive Joints with Reinforced Pins

Abstract: An approach to increasing the loading ability of adhesive joints by adding reinforced pins is presented. Following procedures are taken for making adhesive joints with reinforced pins: At first, holes are drilled at the overlap region of adherends, and then one hole is filled with a metal pin and adhesive.
