Mechanical characteristics analysis of horizontal lifting of subsea pipeline with different burial depths

Abstract: Different burial depths have different effects on the mechanical characteristics of the horizontal lifting of subsea pipelines. With the consideration of the soil resistance to subsea pipelines, combined with the specific sea condition parameters of a certain sea area, and based on the lumped mass method, the subsea pipeline is discretized into a lumped mass model, the dynamic analysis model of the three-point horizontal lifting of subsea pipelines with different burial depths is established. The stress and be… Show more

“…Secondly, the terms and expressions commonly used in marine engineering English may diverge from everyday English, requiring special learning and adaptation by students. For instance, "lumped mass method" [57,58]in marine cable engineering might not directly translate to its everyday English counterpart. Variations such as "concentrated mass method" or "condensed mass method" may be more accurate translations, highlighting the importance of context and specialized terminology in marine engineering.…”

“…In response to the rising demand for energy globally, the focus of offshore oil and gas production is moving from shallow to deep water [1,2]. Several maritime activities need the precise positioning of vessels, underwater vehicles and floating infrastructures [3,4].…”

“…At present, there have been a large number of related studies to temperature [9][10][11][12][13][14]. The influence of the temperature disturbance caused by underwater shield tunnel construction on the temperature distribution of the soil and lining structure was studied, and a new finite difference temperature prediction model was proposed [13].…”
