Mechanical characteristics of plastic base Ports and impact on flushing efficacy

Abstract: BackgroundThree types of totally implantable venous access devices, Ports, are currently in use: titanium, plastic (polyoxymethylene, POM), and mixed (titanium base with a POM shell).
