Mechanical Properties and Electrical Resistivity of the Friction Stir Spot-Welded Dissimilar Al–Cu Joints

Abstract: Alternative methods for dissimilar metal joining particularly aluminium and copper have gain interest in manufacturing sectors. Friction stir spot welding was carried out on the AA6061 and C11000 wires of 2 mm diameter. This research paper reported the results on microstructures and mechanical properties of the spot-welded joints, and also special attention is provided for electrical resistivity of the welds. The microstructures reveal the information of grain structure and bonding. The width of diffusion laye… Show more

“…The slump test was carried out in accordance with ASTM C143-15 [31]. Physical parameters of cementitious, physical characteristics, have examined using a 1500 kN capacity external characteristics instrument in Figure 3 [39,40]. After the compression test was conducted, which involves loading the test specimen between two plates and applying pressure to it by moving the graphical illustrations together, the 28-day curing process was completed.…”

“…The base area of the still is 0.36 m 2 (0:6 m length × 0:6 m breadth). The taller side wall has a 2 International Journal of Photoenergy height of 0.5 m and the shorter side wall has 0.2 m. To increase the absorptive, black paint has been applied to the basin's interior surface [24][25][26]. The basin is protected with glass which allows the solar radiation to reach the basin plate and also acts as the condensing surface.…”

“…The increased FFA content of Mahua oil was reduced by two-step processing method. Experiments in both phases were conducted with a catalyst that had a contained 1% v/v H2SO4 and a molar ratio of 0.35-0.40 v/v methanol to oil (Mohanraj et al, 2022;Vinayagar et al, 2022;Krishnaraja et al, 2022;Yamunadevi et al, 2021). The process was carried out at a temperature of 60 ± 1 °C for 60 minutes.…”
