Mechanische Eigenschaften rundgekneteter Stahlkomponenten

Abstract: The radial infeed rotary swaging is widely used as a diameter reduction forming process of axisymmetric workpieces, improving the mechanical properties with excellent near net shape forming. In the present study, rotary swaging experiments with different parameter setups were performed on steel tubes and bars under different material states and several resulting property modifications were investigated such as stress-strain curve, hardness, fatigue strength and surface residual stresses. The results show a sig… Show more

“…Charni et al studied the tensile properties and three-point bending fatigue properties of S355 steel components processed by RS and found that the yield strength had doubled and the bending fatigue strength had increased by 6.47~12.5% [ 15 ]. Ahmed et al found that the rotational bending fatigue strength of swaged 316 L stainless steel increased by 40% [ 16 ].…”

“…This stepwise deformation makes RS more efficient for processing compared to continuous deformation methods. The prospects of using RS were shown on various metals and alloys, for example, titanium alloys [25,26], carbon steels [27][28][29], copper alloys [30,31], zirconium and its alloys [32,33], zinc alloys [34], etc. The influence of RS on the structure and mechanical properties of metastable austenitic stainless steels is still not well studied, but the results obtained by this study are encouraging [35,36].…”
