Abstract:The new class of reactive polymers is designed to modify asphalt through chemical reactions with asphalt components. The complexity of such systems and the long experience with thermoplastic elastomers as well as with some other “classical” modifiers, and to a degree that our present testing methods and even specifications revolve around these materials, might obscure the fact that we are dealing with rather different modification systems and possibly with new emerging asphalt paving technologies. Our present … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
