Abstract: Background De novo DNA methylation by DNMT3A is a fundamental epigenetic modification for transcriptional regulation. Histone tails and regulatory proteins regulate DNMT3A, and the crosstalk between these epigenetic mechanisms ensures appropriate DNA methylation patterning.
