Abstract: SummaryCurrent basic therapy of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease includes inhaled long-acting bronchodilators. This article reviews mechanisms of action of anticholinergic drugs and their potentiation with beta-2-agonists. There are several upcoming fixed combinations of anticholinergics and beta-2-agonists.
