Mechanisms underlying ultraviolet radiation-induced dermal aging

Abstract: The skin functions as a physical barrier to prevent infection and water evaporation within the body. In addition, it regulates the immune system and produces hormones and neurotransmitters. Because these functions are directly related to whole body health, the maintenance of skin health is important.
