Abstract:Utilization of water-based drilling fluids (DFs) at high
temperatures
is limited by multiple factors due to the degradation of the rheological
and filtration properties. Therefore, it is imperative to design a
thermally resilient system that can overcome these limitations. Carbon
nanotubes (CNTs), renowned for their exceptional mechanical, thermal,
and electrical properties, emerge as promising additives for maintaining
the performance of DFs at elevated pressure–temperature conditions.
However, CNTs have limi… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
