Mediastinal Solitary Fibrous Tumor: Report of a Case with Direct Invasion to the Trachea

Abstract: The solitary fibrous tumors in the pleura are a rare entity that is usually adhesive and sometimes invasive. Because of its benign feature, complete surgical resection is generally considered. We describe a very rare case of mediastinal solitary fibrous tumor arised or invaded into the tracheal wall, which was surgically resected with combined cylindrical resection of the trachea.
