Medical management of decompensated heart failure in adult patients: Part 1: Definition and medical management

Abstract: Acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF) is the leading cause of hospitalization in patients older than 65 years. It continues to increase in prevalence and is associated with significant mortality and morbidity including frequent hospitalizations.
