The current entanglement of intercultural health and küme mongen (good health or good life) in the Williche territory of Chile is an unstable and contradictory construction that emerged as an ideological and utopian response to three simultaneous processes: the neoliberal acceleration of dispossession and eco-social degradation, the neoliberal implementation of a special health care policy for indigenous peoples, and various forms of lack of access to health care. El entrelazamiento actual de la salud intercultural y el küme mongen (buena salud o buena vida) en el territorio williche de Chile es una construcción inestable y contradictoria que surgió como una respuesta ideológica y utópica a tres procesos simultáneos: la aceleración neoliberal del despojo y la degradación ecosocial, la implementación neoliberal de una política especial de atención de la salud para los pueblos indígenas, y diversas manifestaciones de falta de acceso a la atención médica.

The search for better living conditions, hand in hand with economic development, is a desire shared by all peoples; the First Nations are no exception. In this sense, entrepreneurship is one of the ways to improve incomes and quality of life, both in industrialized and developing societies, which is considered a potential strategy for economic development. This exploratory research presents a model that explains, through causal relationships, the growth of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) belonging to the First Nations, based on the results coming from the analysis conducted within one of the most important First Nations in the Americas, the Mapuche people, located in South America (mainly Argentina and Chile). The framework was developed from interviews with entrepreneurs and owners of Mapuche SMEs, along with an exhaustive analysis carried out through the use of Partial Least Squares (PLS). The owners were consulted about their attitude towards variables that generate accelerated growth in entrepreneurship in different contexts around the world. Subsequently, a model of inter-relationships was generated that sought to explain which variables are determining factors in the growth of SMEs belonging to the First Nations. Through a process of evaluation and depuration, the model proposed here was arrived at, concluding that Constant Training and Commitment to Growth are the most relevant factors in the growth of these companies. Both of these factors are supported by Long-Term Customer Relationships, Differentiation by Quality, Business Skills, and Business Structure, with a special focus on sustainable development.

El artículo corresponde a una investigación desarrollada durante tres años con familias mapuche y aymaras, en sus propios territorios, que busca describir y analizar sus concepciones de aprendizaje y educación. Epistemológicamente, se enmarca en el constructivismo radical, con foco en la justicia social y educativa. La metodología es cualitativa, participativa y etnográfica, desarrollándose mediante un proceso de co-construcción. Los resultados muestran que las concepciones, lógicas y métodos sobre el aprendizaje y la educación familiar y comunitaria son mayormente compartidos por las familias, y que la comprensión y valoración de sus modos de hacer las cosas, especialmente en la educación formal, se constituiría en condición para que las personas indígenas puedan ejercer su legítimo derecho a participar en la sociedad en igualdad de condiciones. Se concluye que es posible co-construir conocimiento entre personas de distintas culturas si se tiene un propósito común y el entendimiento que los sentidos y significados de palabras y acciones pueden ser distintos según haya sido la convivencia, lo que implica reformular experiencias y consensuar modos de describir las cosas, aún en el contexto de injusticia epistémica que caracteriza las relaciones entre culturas en nuestro país.
