“…When the pH of the solution was adjusted from 5.80 to 2.00 with HNO 3 , the photocatalytic degradation efficiency decreased to 62.07% since TC molecules exist in the form of cationic species (pH < 3.3) and zwitterionic species (3.3 < pH < 7.68) . Therefore, as the pH of the solution decreased, the content of H 3 O + in the solution gradually increased and competed with TC for the active sites of the catalytic reaction, resulting in the decrease of photocatalytic degradation efficiency .
