“…However, for converter extraction of vanadium, since CaO is a component that seriously affects the quality of vanadium slag, raw materials such as lime and dolomite containing CaO cannot be added when extracting vanadium, making the lining life of the vanadium extraction converter much lower than that of the steelmaking converter. Based on the realistic need to improve the lining life of vanadium converters, we proposed in a previous study 10 to add additional MgO-containing materials to obtain high magnesium vanadium slag that has no negative effect on the vanadium leaching rate and used molecular dynamics simulation to study the structure of the vanadium slag melt. It was found that the Si–O–Si, Si–O–Ti, and Si–O–V linkages decreased significantly with the increase of MgO content, the highly polymerized Q 3 and Q 4 structural units decreased, and the network depolymerization index of the vanadium slag increased.…”
