Memahami Secara Teologis Politik Dalam Gereja

Abstract

This research is about the study of political practices in the church. So far, there are so many church members who refuse to get involved in practical politics because they consider politics to be dirty and contrary to the principles of truth as contained in the Bible. Through this research it was found that in fact there is politics that can be applied and carried out by the Church, and it is called theocratic politics. By using a qualitative approach, especially analyzing and synthesizing some data and information from the literature (books and scientific articles), the researcher examines this topic from a theological perspective. The researcher found several points as conclusions related to theocratic politics as church politics, then about the nature of theocratic politics, and the application of theocratic politics that can be applied inside and outside the church.
 Abstrak: Penelitian ini tentang kajian terhadap praktik politik di dalam gereja. Selama ini ada begitu banyak warga gereja menolak terlibat dalam politik praktis karena menganggap politik itu kotor dan bertentangan dengan prinsip kebenaran seperti yang terdapat dalam Alkitab. Melalui penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa ternyata ada politik yang dapat diterapkan dan dilakukan oleh Gereja, dan itu yang disebut dengan politik teokrasi. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, khususnya menganalisis dan mensintesiskan beberapa data dan informasi dari literatur (buku dan artikel ilmiah), peneliti mengkaji topik ini dari perspektif teologis. Peneliti menemukan beberapa poin sebagai kesimpulan yang terkait dengan politik teokrasi sebagai politik gereja, kemudian tentang natur politik teokrasi, dan penerapan politik teokrasi yang dapat diterapkan dalam dan di luar gereja.
