The similarity of the results of the present study with those obtained in patients at the early stages of PD demonstrates that some of cognitive deficits in PD might not be a consequence of frontal dysfunction per se, but rather due to impaired DA activity in the striatum (Owen et al 1992(Owen et al , 1998Postle et al 1997;Pillon et al 1997).
