Men’s Health and Psychiatry

Abstract: This chapter will provide a broad overview of differences in prevalent mental health disorders between men and women. These differences may be related to testosterone effects on brain structure and function, which will be briefly reviewed. The remainder of the chapter will focus on the association of endogenous testosterone with mood disorders and the use of exogenous testosterone in the treatment of mood disorders.
