This article attempts to describe early childhood learning in developing language competence. Especially the Javanese language and its culture as a form of resilience to local cultural identity that is introduced early on. The use of the Banyumasan Javanese language is currently experiencing a crisis, especially in the younger generation, the majority of whom are more fluent in Indonesian than the local Javanese language in Banyumasan. For that, it needs the cooperation of all parties in civilizing and resilience, especially in Banyumasan Javanese language. This study uses a qualitative approach, the data obtained through observation, interviews, focus group discussions on early childhood education teachers. The data is processed using the theory of Miles and Huberman through the process of reduction, data display and conclusion drawing/verification. the validity of the data through triangulation techniques as a process of strengthening and clarification. The finding of the study can be described as follows: learning activities to introduce Javanese language to early childhood are carried out once a week through play activities, such as children being asked to count numbers from 1 to 10 using Javanese language, in addition, the singing method in Javanese is used as a way to children accustomed to hearing and reciting Javanese dialects. Activities to introduce the Javanese language are integrated into learning themes such as the theme of love for motherland which introduces children to the culture and dialect of the Banyumasan language.

For This research aims to examine the influence of literacy activities through reading aloud picture books on the language and cognitive development of Group B children at TK Nurul Huda Karang Sekaran Lamongan in the academic year 2023/2024. This study employs a Quasi-Experiment with a quantitative approach. The variables in this study consist of one independent variable and two dependent variables. The independent variable is literacy activities through reading aloud picture books (X), while the dependent variables are language development (Y1) and cognitive development (Y2). The sample in this study includes 30 Plus Hafidzul Qur'an TK children in the experimental group (15 children B-1 and 15 children B-2) and 30 children in the control group (15 children B-3 and 15 children B-4). The data analysis technique in this study uses parametric statistical analysis, specifically the Independent t-test. The results of the research indicate that (1) There is an influence of literacy activities through reading aloud picture books on the language development of Group B children at TK Nurul Huda Karang Sekaran Lamongan in the academic year 2023/2024, with a statistically significant value of t = -2.977 and a significance level of p = 0.004, which is less than 5%; (2) There is an influence of literacy activities through reading aloud picture books on the cognitive development of Group B children at TK Nurul Huda Karang Sekaran Lamongan in the academic year 2023/2024, with a statistically significant value of t = -3.718 and a significance level of p = 0.000, which is less than 5%. This study is expected to provide insights for teachers in developing literacy activities through reading aloud picture books, especially in the language and cognitive development of Group B children at TK Nurul Huda Karang Sekaran in Lamongan district.

Reading ability affects children's success in understanding learning material. Teachers who are less creative in carrying out reading activities and the lack of use of learning media have an impact on children so that children have difficulty saying words with good and fluent intonation. This study aims to produce effective, efficient, and interesting alphabet maze media for reading skills. In this research and development, the researcher uses the ADDIE development model. This model uses a five-step development procedure: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data collection instruments used in this research and development are questionnaires and observations. The data analysis technique used in the research and development of the alphabet maze media is in the form of quantitative data and qualitative data. The results shown from the analysis of product development of alphabet maze media have the achievement of eligibility or validity in the form of very valid, in terms of effectiveness very effective, aspects of efficiency are very efficient, attractiveness aspect is very interesting. Based on these percentages, the researchers can conclude that alphabet maze media for early reading skills is said to be very valid in terms of aspects of effectiveness, aspects of efficiency, and aspects of attractiveness. Applying this media also makes it easier for teachers to adjust teaching to children. In addition, the success of using the alphabet maze media was shown in the attitude of the children, who were enthusiastic and more enthusiastic about learning to read at the beginning.
