Abstract:Introduction: Acute mesenteric ischemia (AMI) is a rare but lethal disease. Mesenteric venous thrombosis (VAMI) is a subtype of AMI. Morbid obesity is usually accompanied by hypertension, hyperlipidemia or diabetes mellitus, which are risk factors associated with AMI.
