Meta-Subject Potential of a Foreign Language in Teaching Natural Disciplines at a Pedagogical University

Abstract: Teaching a foreign language in the process of preparing future teachers is guided by the needs of the modern school system, in which reforms are being actively implemented. The meta-subject approach at school serves as the basis for planning learning outcomes. For example, in biology, foreign language, and physics classes, students are not only expected to know the laws and principles of a particular field of science but also to be able to embed this knowledge into an integral system of worldviews. The impleme… Show more

“…Individuals evolve through interactions, as these interactions contribute to a more authentic and profound selfreflection and self-awareness, according to Pogrebnaya (2021) and Rogers (2002); -Feedback also stimulates the processes of identification and reflection. According to Kabbassova, Sakenov (2021), Koishigulova, Kisamedenova (2020), andMambetalina (2012), identification and reflection intertwine as methods for individuals to understand themselves through the lens of others;…”

“…These works emphasize the importance of theoretical analysis and participation in international rankings to stimulate pedagogical innovation. in addition, studies by Sanjyarova et al (2021) and Kabbassova et al (2021) explore the practical application of pedagogical methods, such as the use of interactive methods in teaching foreign languages and the study of the meta-subject potential of foreign languages in teaching natural sciences. These studies provide valuable information on the introduction of innovative approaches to learning into the educational landscape of Kazakhstan.…”
