Abstract: <p>Isocitrate dehydrogenase mutation-induced D-2-hydroxyglutarate (D-2-HG) accumulation may promote the tumorigenesis of numerous cancers. D-2-HG produced by several promiscuous enzymatic reactions under normal conditions is also toxic to organisms.
