Metabolic regulation of in vivo myocardial contractile function: multiparameter analysis

Abstract: To gain insite into the mechanisms of myocardial regulation as it relates to the interaction of mechanical and metabolic function and perfusion, intact animal models were instrumented for routine physiological measurements of mechanical function and for measurements of metabolism (3~p NMR, NADH fluorescence (redox state)) and perfusion (2H NMR and Laser doppler techniques).
