Metabolism of citrulline in man

Abstract: Citrulline is a non protein amino acid involved in three important metabolic pathways, the intrahepatic transformation of ammonia to urea, the de novo synthesis of arginine from glutamine in gut and kidney, the nitric oxide synthesis.
