Metabolomic analysis reveals the quality characteristics of Yi Gong tea leaves at different harvesting periods

Abstract: To obtain a theoretical reference for understanding the changes in metabolites of Yigong tea leaves during different harvesting periods and to determine the optimal harvesting period, we performed a metabolome comparison using UPLC‐Q‐Exactive MS on Yigong tea leaves from different harvesting periods. The results indicated that a total of 41 metabolites were significantly altered during the growth of Yi Gong tea leaves. These involved 7 amino acids and their derivatives, 16 flavonols and flavonol glycosides, 4 … Show more

“…In the confidence test, Q 2 measures the predictive ability of the model, while R 2 determines the goodness of fit. The closer R 2 and Q 2 are to 1, the more reliable the model [18]. Figure 2D shows the 200-times confidence test, indicating that the results of the multivariate statistical analysis are reliable.…”

“…In addition, Liu et al [20] applied this technology to the food feld to identify changes in metabolites of beef secretion. Li et al [21] also used this technique to compare metabolome of Yigong tea at diferent harvesting periods. Terefore, we aim to use UPLC-Q-Exactive-MS technology to determine the chemical composition of the P. sibiricum leaf tea.…”
