Amaç Tıp fakültesinden mezun olan tıp öğrencilerinin mesleki uygulamalar, mesleki değerler ve yaklaşımlar ile mesleki ve bireysel gelişim alanlarında yetkin olması beklenmektedir. Bu üç temel yetkinlik alanından biri olan mesleki değerler ve yaklaşımlar kapsamında tıp fakültesinden mezun olan bir hekimin iletişim becerilerinde yetkin olması istenmektedir. Bu bağlamda tıp eğitimi müfredatında iletişim becerileri eğitimi ve uygulamalarının olması tavsiye edilmektedir. İletişim becerileri eğitimi son yıllarda tıp eğitiminin temel derslerinden biri olmuştur. Ancak cinsiyet bağlamında, tıp eğitiminde iletişim becerileri eğitimi çıktıları göz ardı edilmektedir. Bu çalışma, iletişim becerileri eğitiminin cinsiyet bağlamında kazanım farklılıkları incelemek için tasarlanmıştır. Yöntem Bu çalışma, bir iletişim becerileri eğitiminin tıp öğrencilerinde iletişim ve empati becerilerini geliştirme kapasitesini değerlendirmek ve bu kapasitede cinsiyet açısından farklılık olup olmadığını araştırmak amacıyla öntest-sontest müdahale çalışması olarak tasarlanmıştır. Eğitim öncesi ve sonrasında öğrencilerden İletişim Becerileri Tutum Ölçeği ve Empatik Eğilim Ölçeği'ni doldurmaları istenmiştir. Çalışmaya iletişim becerileri eğitimi dersine tam katılım sağlayan ve çalışmada kullanılan ölçekleri eksiksiz dolduran tıp fakültesi 3. sınıf öğrencilerinden 121 öğrenci dahil edilmiştir. Bulgular Yaş ortalaması 20.6±1.2 yıl olan 121 öğrencinin %47.9'u (n=58) erkek, %52.1'i (n=63) kızdı. Evaluation of communication skills from a 360° perspective at simulatedTele-rehabilitation scenarios Background: Communication skills (CS) are competencies required by health professionals. Clinical simulation with a simulated/standardized patient (SP) is a good resource for teaching this skill. However, it requires trained teachers to guide the process. Not all teachers have this training. HC short evaluation instruments are required to develop a structured observation during the activity, especially those that can be applied by all the participants to guide and understand the process from a broader perspective. Aim: Validate a short HC assessment questionnaire to evaluate these skills from a 360° analysis, i.e., from the learner, facilitator/teacher, and PS perspective. Method: A brief HC questionnaire was created, subjected to construct and content validity, and thus applied to 40 Kinesiology undergraduate students, facilitator/teacher, and PS during a simulated teleconsultation scenario. We analyzed the result of the communication by descriptive statistics, Lashe, Cronbach, KMO, Bartlett, IVC, Fisher and Cohen tests, and exploratory factorial analysis. Results:The questionnaire showed content validity for 5 of 6 items. Construct validity with commonalities over 50% for each item. With good reliability (Cronbach's alpha > 0.79). We found high levels of HC in the students, but the concordance between observers was weak (Cohen's Kappa < 0.4). Conclusion: The short questionnaire for HC is a valid assessment tool during clinical simulation. Incorporating the views and perceptions of all the simulation participants can improve the understanding of health communication.

Doctor-patient interpersonality strategies have evolved considerably in recent years, mainly due to the increase in telephone and online consultations generated by the Covid-19 pandemic. In this type of interaction, the control and expression of emotions have a crucial influence on the adequacy and effectiveness of communication. Remote interaction makes this affective exchange even more complex than in face-to-face consultations. The present study aims to configure a comprehensive model for analysing the affective domain in virtual medical consultations, useful for English and Spanish patients and learners. With this aim, the most recognised theories on professional interpersonality are reviewed and applied to a corpus of doctor-patient interactions in Peninsular Spanish and British English, extracted from representative forums on the Internet. The analysis highlights how specific stance and register variation mechanisms positively and negatively influence the emotional domain in these communicative exchanges. The proposed model allows significant contrastive findings on the occurrence and intensity of sentiment markers in both languages. The results illustrate how doctors in Spanish favour a more cautious, detached and predictable encounter, while doctors in English use a greater number and variety of attitudinal strategies to achieve engagement, empathy and emotional comfort.
