Abstract:The synthesis of various metal acetylene dicarboxylates (MxADC, M = Cu, Ag, Fe, Co, Ni) via new methods are reported. The previously unknown crystal structures for Ag2ADC and FeADC are presented. The behaviour of the different metal dicarboxylates and their role as graphitization catalysts in a printable highly energetic carbon precursor is investigated in detail.
