“…The FBR, which could provide various advantages, such as simplicity in construction and operation, low operating costs, and greater availability of reactants, has gained increased attention in a wide range of industrial applications (Qu et al, 2007;Mungmart et al, 2011). Based on our literature review, except for a few reports available on the use of advanced oxidation processes for degrading pollutants from wastewaters (Pirgalıoğlu and Ozbelge, 2009;Mungmart et al, 2011), no investigation was found on the CMA treatment of wastewater containing biorecalcitrants. Therefore, the present study focuses on the preparation, characterization, and the properties of CMA chitosan to study its capability for degrading a model biorecalcitrant.…”

“…It was found that the use of Co nanocatalyst with the presence of O 3 led to the best removal condition in which phenol was completely decomposed within 10 min (pseudo-1 st order rate constant k 0.1944 min 1 ). In contrast, the use of TiO 2 without O 3 resulted in the least decomposition of phenol (k 0.0066 min 1 ) (Mungmart et al 2011). Contributions of adsorption on the porous supporting materials, carbon gel or silica gel, were also examined and deducted from those of the metal catalysts.…”

“…In recent years, the fluidized bed has been widely used in wastewater treatment, petrochemical industry, biochemistry, and other fields because of its good mass and heat transfer properties [1][2][3][4]. In order to design and optimize the fluidized bed, it is important to accurately measure the distribution and flow characteristics of each phase [5][6][7].…”
