Abstract:Herein, metal-free oxidative tandem cross-dehydrogenative coupling of 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds with N,N-dimethylanilines is developed. The reaction affords two new C(sp 3)À C(sp 3) bonds in one pot. A broad range of ß-dicarbonyl compounds and N,N-dimethylanilines were compatible, and the desired products were synthesized in moderate-to-good yields.
As a rule, reactive free radicals used in organic synthesis are too labile to be isolated, whereas persistant radicals are inert and find limited synthetic application. In the present study,...
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
