Abstract:Hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) was synthesized by using O'Connor method with different metal carbonyls (Mo(CO) 6 , Cr(CO) 6 , and W(CO) 6 ) at 1373 K. FTIR, XRD, and SEM techniques were used for characterization of the samples. XRD results indicated an increase in interlayer spacing besides nano-scale products are formed, all that observed at 1373 K.
