Metal structures diagnosis by truncated cone indentation

Abstract: The method of the steel structures diagnosis is considered with nondestructive test by truncated cone indentation. Recently, great interest in the nondestructive evaluating of the steel mechanical properties at real structures is developed in many applied problems. Dynamic indentation method is one of the most effective because of compatibility and accuracy. For this purpose static and dynamic problem of axisymmetric elasticplastic truncated cone indentation is solved and the results are compared with finite e… Show more

“…an elastic modulus of compression and an elastic modulus of tension are different, however, the material is isotropic. It is proved [1,2] consisting of two layers with different elastic moduli for tension, compression and reinforcement. The compatibility condition for deformations assumes the equality of the radii of curvature of the beam and reinforcement layers [3,5] presents the formulas of normal stresses, emerged in the filler:…”

“…Obtaining an accurate picture of the stress-strain state is extremely important and actual in the calculation of many structures and building structures. Bimodule materials are widely used in engineering, construction and energy industries [1][2][3]. Vibration behavior of bimodular laminated composite cylindrical panels with various boundary conditions is considered in [4].…”

“…Depending on the building purpose the methods to determine the structures properties are different. These are non-destructive tests based on indentation methods that used for metal structures [1,2], determination of the rheological parameters for the creep models [3], identification of the structures properties [4].…”
