In this article, a tri-band Omega Complementary Split Ring Resonator (OCSRR) and Circular Complementary Split Ring Resonator (CCSRR ) loaded patch antenna is presented for Wi-Fi 6E/7 applications. The proposed antenna consists of a rectangular patch, circular and omega shaped CSRR which is designed at 6GHz,5GHz and 2.4GHz respectively. The parametric studies have investigated to optimize the antenna parameters in desired frequency bands using Ansys HFSS 21.0 software. The measured and simulated results are in good in agreement. In addition, the operating principle, equivalent circuit, and negative ɛ parameter of the OCSRR and CCSRR metamaterial structures are also investigated. Compared to the conventional antenna, the proposed antenna has a compact size of 0.21λg × 0.28λg × 0.02λg (where λg is the guided wavelength in free space at 2.4 GHz) and size reduction of 81.9%.
