Metastasectomy for oligometastatic bone disease of the appendicular skeleton: A concise review

Abstract: As the life expectancy of patients with carcinomas improves, there is an associated increase in the risk of development of metastatic bone disease. Patients with solitary or oligometastatic bone disease of the appendicular skeleton may benefit from metastasectomy and reconstruction to improve overall survival.
