Method to reduce distance-sensitivity within an operating range in HF-RFID WPT links

Abstract: This paper describes a general method to design reader loop antennas for reduced distance-sensitivity in High Frequency Radio Frequency Identification (HF-RFID) links. The method determines an appropriate average radius of reverse-current turns to be incorporated in a loop antenna, in order to limit the increase of mutual inductance as antenna pairs are brought closer together.
