Methods for the Production of Bacterial Nanocellulose
Pratima Bajpai
Abstract:Bacterial nanocellulose (BNC) has been produced utilizing a range of
techniques, which include continuous culture techniques employing common
bioprocesses like bioreactors, as well as batch and fed-batch growth techniques. The
final application of BNC dictates the manufacturing strategy since the procedure
directly affects the supramolecular structure and mechanical and physical
characteristics of BNC. Techniques for the production of bacterial nanocellulose are
described in this chapter.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
