The focus of the paper is directed towards the opinion and impressions of parents about the participation in the realized workshop with Play through science. Students of the Faculty of Education in Jagodina, future educators and teachers organized and realized a scientific workshop that enabled children to learn and explore about different properties of materials and movement, as well as the active participation of parents in the same. Children, ages 4 to 11, examined the basic properties of materials (hard-soft, rough-smooth, transparent-opaque); magnetic properties - what material are the objects attracted by the magnet made of, what materials does the magnet work through, which poles attract and which repel; electrical properties - what is a circuit, what are conductors and what are insulators. They also examined the ways the body starts and stops, the factors that affect body movements, and the different forms of body movement. A total of 18 parents participated in the research. The results show the positive impressions of the parents about their participation and the enthusiasm of the children who enjoyed the various activities. The conducted a workshop based on experiments are one of the examples of good practice through the cooperation of parents, children and future educators and teachers, whose example could be followed by other practitioners promoting the productive use of leisure time.
