Methylation of RUNX3 in various types of human cancers and premalignant stages of gastric carcinoma

Abstract: Accumulating evidence has identified a mechanism potentially responsible for the inactivation of tumor suppressor genes, namely transcriptional silencing by aberrant methylation of CpG islands.
