Abstract:Background
Essential hypertension (EH) is common and multifactorial disorders likely to be influenced by multiple genes. The methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) gene rs1801133 polymorphism is related to MTHFR enzyme activity and to plasma homocysteine concentration.
