“…The surface area is less reduced in the case of the sample [IOx] 0.1 _B_40_R_1.25, which can possibly be ascribed to a more intense physical adsorption/interaction of N 2 with iron oxide phase when this is in the optimum amount.This behavior was also observed in the case of hydrophobic FeO x /SiO 2 nanocomposites, and metal-organic-frames (MOFs) having coordination polymers in the structure, or in flexible porous structures which contain pores may adjust and modify gas sorption properties by incorporation of ligand guest molecules[20,21,25]. However, this phenomenon is only observed at optimum dopant value of 0.1, while in the case of [IOx] 0.2 -B_40_R_1.25 the scenario is completely different, and S BET continues to decrease, which is attributed to the pore collapsing as a consequence of the great extent of shrinkage upon ambient pressure drying.…”
