Abstract:A total of 45 commercial probiotic products for food animals were investigated for the number of viable cells, bacterial species and the presence of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) genes. All products were enumerated for viable bacterial cells of Lactobacillus, Bacillus and Enterococcus.
