Abstract:Aggregation transitions in disordered mesoscopic systems play an important role in several areas of knowledge, from materials science to biology. The lack of a thermodynamic limit in systems that are intrinsically finite makes the microcanonical thermostatistics analysis, which is based on the microcanonical entropy, a suitable alternative to study the aggregation phenomena. Although microcanonical entropies have been used in the characterization of first-order phase transitions in many nonadditive systems, mo… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
