Microfacies of Mesozoic Carbonate

Abstract: Steklo tanko, kos apnenca, tanek snop svetlobe -~arovnija,nam pri~ara morje plitvo, plažo, ocean globine. Show more

“…This facies appears only in the mosaic of Emona . Similar facies are found on the Dinaric Carbonate Platform, where peloids, oncoids and cortoids are common features in Jurassic formations (Buser ; Ogorelec ; Gale ). The closest outcrops of Jurassic peloidal limestones are located in the southern part of the Ljubljana moor (Fig.…”

“…Like the Upper Triassic, the outcropping Lower Jurassic successions from the northern External Dinarides show facies associations characteristic for the inner platform developments. General Lower Jurassic successions from the northern Dinarides were described by Dozet and Strohmenger (2000), Črne and Goričan (2008), Miler and Pavšič (2008), Dozet (2009), Ogorelec (2011), andKelemen (2017), among others. An unpublished thesis of Buser (1965) also provides a regional overview of Jurassic successions from southern Slovenia.…”

“…Following the Toarcian deepening, the shallow water sedimentation gradually re-established on the margin and crinoid-rich ooidal limestones that pass upwards into pure ooidal limestone were deposited (Fig. 17) (Buser, 1996;Črne & Goričan, 2008;Miler & Pavšič 2008;Buser & Dozet 2009;Ogorelec 2011;Dozet & Ogorelec 2012).…”
