Abstract:In this paper, a micromechanical fatigue life prediction method for fiber-reinforced ceramic-matrix composites subjected to stochastic overloading at room temperature is developed. Fatigue damage mechanisms in the matrix, interfaces, and fibers are characterized using different damage models.
