MicroRNA-1285 inhibits malignant biological behaviors of human pancreatic cancer cells by negative regulation of YAP1

Abstract: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma is a most deadly malignancy, with a 5-year survival rate of ~7%. Chemotherapy is the main treatment strategy of this disease. However, the high rate of resistance to chemotherapeutic agent contributes to poor prognosis. MicroRNAs are essential for the initiation, progression and chemoresistance of human malignancies. Previous studies have shown that miRNA-1285 participates in renal cell carcinoma and hepatocellular carcinoma. However, its roles in pancreatic ductal adenocarcino… Show more

“…Nevertheless, the function of miR-1285-3p in OS remains uncertain. Previous studies have demonstrated that miR-1285-3p participates in the tumorigenesis of pancreatic cancer [31] and ovarian cancer [32]. The results of the present study indicated that miR-1285-3p was significantly decreased in OS cells.…”

“…miRNAs can act as oncomiRs or tumor suppressors in ccRCC [9][10][11]. However, the effects and molecular mechanisms of miR-671-5p in ccRCC progression have yet to be elucidated.…”

“…Lin et al [14] found that six circulating miRNAs are correlated with overall survival in castration-resistant prostate cancer. Other studies have reported the molecular function and potential clinical utility of miRNAs in PDAC [15,16]. However, the molecular mechanism of miRNAs in pancreatic carcinogenesis remains largely unknown.…”
