MicroRNA‑1301‑3p promotes the progression of non‑small cell lung cancer by targeting Thy‑1 and predicts poor prognosis of patients

Abstract: The role of microRNA (miR)-1301-3p has been investigated in breast cancer and colorectal cancer. Dysregulation of miR-1301-3p expression in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is speculated to be associated with tumor progression, which was systemically investigated in the present study. Reverse transcription-quantitative PCR analysis was performed to detect miR-1301-3p expression in 124 paired tissue samples and cultured cell lines. The results demonstrated that miR-1301-3p expression was regulated by transfec… Show more

“…In four lung cancer cell lines, the expression of miR-1301 was higher than that of human normal lung epithelial cells (BEAS-2B) (5,21). Thy-1 is a cell surface glycoprotein, which is closely related to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (22) and lung cancer (5). Polymerase I and transcript release factor (PTRF) is also known as cavin-1, and its down-regulation has been shown to promote the progression of prostate cancer, breast cancer, and glioblastoma (30).…”
