Abstract: BackgroundPreeclampsia (PE) is a hypertensive disorder of pregnancy, affecting 2%–8% of pregnancies worldwide, and is the leading cause of adverse maternal and fetal outcomes. The disease is characterized by oxidative and cellular stress and widespread endothelial dysfunction.
