Microstrip Antenna Design for Femtocell Coverage Optimization

Abstract: A mircostrip antenna is designed for multielement antenna coverage optimization in femtocell network. Interference is the foremost concern for the cellular operator in vast commercial deployments of femtocell. Many techniques in physical, data link and network-layer are analysed and developed to settle down the interference issues. A multielement technique with self-configuration features is analyzed here for coverage optimization of femtocell. It also focuses on the execution of microstrip antenna for multiel… Show more

“…Six-microstrip antennas are operating with 60° separation angle on the same axis inside the femtocell device. A previously designed microstrip antenna is used here to configure the directive gain pattern of each antenna element [ 17 ]. The house has indoor and outdoor walls that decrease the strength of the signal based on their thickness.…”

“…Since all the proposed multiantenna concepts used planner antennas like PIFA (planner inverted-F antenna) and patch antenna, previously designed microstrip antenna has been used in this paper to simulate the femtocell device. The antenna was designed for LTE band 7 [ 17 ]. It has a directional gain pattern that gives different receiving gain for different position of the user.…”

“…In this paper, a neural network-based closed access femtocell network is proposed by using the variations of receiving gains of multi-element femtocell. A previously designed LTE multi-band microstrip antenna [15] is used for modeling the multi-element femtocell configuration. Results show that the femtocell categorizes the users without any mistake after a certain number of training samples.…”

“…Selection of access-control mechanisms in femtocell has a deteriorating effect on network performance. The operation of access-controlled femtocell greatly depends on the mechanism whose sole purpose is to decide whether the user can connect to the cell [ 1 , 2 ].…”
