“…It can be found in Figure 9A that the Nyquist plots of MAO coatings have different radii of capacitive loops which is related to the charge transfer process. Generally, the capacitive loop has a bigger radius, indicating greater charge transfer resistance and better corrosion resistance of the coatings (Dai et al, 2017;Lei et al, 2018;Sang et al, 2019;Xiang et al, 2020). It can also be obviously found that the coatings fabricated under steps current-decreasing mode show greater radii of the capacitive loop compared with that under the constant current mode.…”

“…The result found that the CoCrFeNiNbx HEA coated on titanium sheet produces higher hardness compared to the pure titanium. The Nb coating produces significant improvement in hardness compared to pure titanium due to the consisted phase of BCC solid solution with equiaxed bulk grain morphology and Cr 2 Ti Laves phase [25]. A comparison is performed between the thermal spray coating and laser cladding performance on steel.…”

“…It is proved that the α phase tends to nucleate at the interface between the ω and β phases. The reason is that this interface is regarded as the minimum misfit low-index habit plane between ω and β phases, resulting in a significant reduction of apparent activation energy for the nucleation and growth of α precipitates (Ohmori et al, 2001;Cremasco et al, 2011;Chen et al, 2019;Dong et al, 2020;Xiang et al, 2020). Hence, α phases with the aid of the isothermal ω phase-assisted nucleation will possess a basically similar BOR with those formed under the OSA condition.…”
